Broadmeadows is a culturally diverse community that has a number of parks and is conveniently located 16km north of Melbourne’s CBD.
There are numerous parks and reserves including the Jack Roper Reserve, which features three playgrounds, BBQ facilities, a soccer field and a jetty for fishing.
As well as a busy shopping strip, Broadmeadows has a Global Learning centre which includes a Global Café, art exhibition space, The Age Library, meeting rooms and free internet access.
A range of a range of social, recreation and educational programs for all people of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds are hosted in the Banksia Garden Community Centre as well as the Broadmeadows Community Hub which provides access to health, community and learning programs.
There is a train station which is served by the Craigieburn line as well as a number of bus services available.
