Helping Stamp Out Racism and Discrimination - Community Reporting Tool
AMES Australia is supporting a Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC) initiative to make it easier for people to report incidents of racism, discrimination, hate-speech and religious vilification, or to raise concerns about breaches of human rights.
The commission has developed a Community Reporting Tool (CRT) that makes it easy for people to make short, direct and confidential complaints about racism or discrimination.
The CRT does not replace making a complaint but allows community members to log an incident while having the option to take the matter further.
To make a report, a complainant just needs to simply describe the incident, which will then be sent to the commission via email. This process is confidential and community member can choose not to be contacted further.
If a complainant requests follow up, the commission will consider the issue and determine the best way to respond.

All info provided through the Community Reporting Tool will be provided directly to the VEOHRC. AMES Australia will not hold any information. Making a report requires only a simple description of an incident, which is then sent directly to the VEOHRC via email.
